In 2002, Eiji Wentz and Teppei Koiki joined together to form the acoustic duo WaT.

They played so often at Yoyogi Park that their popularity soared and the turnout of fans was more than what the area could accommodate. WaT decided at this time to start performing elsewhere and began to have shows in clubs and concert halls.

In November of 2005 WaT was signed by the label Universal Music Japan. They released their first major single, Boku no Kimochi, which placed 2nd on the Oricon Chart. They continued to amaze people in 2006 when they released 4 singles, one album (all ranking 4th or higher on the Oricon Chart), and two DVDs.

After the over productive year, with Wentz and Teppei both wanting to pursue their own solo projects, they decided to take a break in 2007. However, this time period was cut short as they couldn't resist composing together once again... read more
