Oblivion Dust, also known as OD, is a rock band that formed in 1995 after the disbanding of Addict of the Trip Minds. The drummer, Taka Motomura and the bassist, Derek Forbes wanted a new band with western style. They recruited Ken Lloyd as vocalist and guitarist as well as K.A.Z as a second guitarist. After OD signed with Cutting Edge, they released their first album, Looking for Elvis, recorded in Los Angeles. The band then changed bassists twice and the line-up finally settled down with the arrival of Rikiji in 1998.

In Tokyo, they played as the opening band for the Prodigy in front of ten thousand fans. They toured for the second time along the west coast of the United States and recorded their second album, Misery Days in Los Angeles.
