Lost Color People was formed in 1999 in Yamanashi prefecture. The group developed a concept known as “cool groove” which has been described as their sound being integrated with soul while having vocals in both English and Japanese.

Although at this point most only knew of their instrumentals, they made themselves known and advertised by appearing on FM radio stations and Idol DVDs.
Lost Color People continued to forge its style by incorporating theatrical experience and by performing at Jazz festivals.

The first maxi album, “Connectors,” was released on November 23, 2003 and kicked off the “Connectors Tour” which was set to travel around Japan for six months. The tour ended in May of 2004 at the Kazoo Hall in Kofu, and around that time, the seven musicians had already begun composing for their second album.
