Their July released single “Taiyou SCANDALOUS” has just achieved #2 at the ORICON weekly chart.

SCANDAL have now become one of the representative of the girls band that they just perfprmed at the legendary venue BUDOKAN on March 28, 2012.

Only after 5 years and 7 months since they formed SCANDAL, it was actually recorded as the earliest for the girls band to perform at this legendary venue.

The BUDOKAN stand-alone show will be released in DVD/Blu-ray Discs.

The release date will be August 22, 2012 for both DVD and Blu-ray.

An article was posted earlier today on Kamijo World concerning the band's plans for the future. To the dismay of many followers, the group appears to have designs to end their activity.

“We would like to announce that Versailles has decided to stop all activities by the closing of the year.”

The band was very clear in communicating that the break up will be in a positive light and simply due to a want for other projects and directions.

“Being our 5th anniversary — and without a clear direction heading into the future – we have decided it was in the best interest of the band and the music, our staff and supporters, in order to pursue our artistic and personal goals outside the current framework, to stop all our activities by the end of 2012.”

To give fans something to look forward to before their end, Versailles announced that their 'farewell' album will be released September 26th, with a tour in Japan to follow afterward and a finale concert at NHK Hall in Tokyo at the end of December.

After initially being taken down, the announcement is now confirmed.

According to attendees of a recent A-KNOT meeting held in Japan, Kyo is beginning to sing again. Months after the band cancelled tours and went on hiatus due to the frontman’s health complications, Kyo underwent microsurgery and is slowly easing back into his trade while the rest of the band has worked on individual projects and have reportedly been crafting new songs.

Inoue and Takabayashi Masuda spoke as representatives of the band at the A-KNOT meeting and will hopefully continue to disclose Kyo’s progress as the band steps towards their (potential) much-awaited return.

In the meantime, Dir en grey continues to crank out tour DVDs that summarize their most recent tour across America and Asia in DVD and BluRay format.

L'Arc~en~Ciel announced the release of two huge photo books, "LIVE 2" and "LIFE 2" on September 25th, both dedicated to the WORLD TOUR 2012.
"LIVE 2" will feature photos from the concerts, while "LIFE 2" will include photos from special photo shoots.

Moreover, on July 28th the band will release a special issue of the magazine LE-CIEL called LE-CIEL Extra Number. This special will include exclusive photos and interviews from the world tour and it could be bought even without a subscription to the fanclub LE-CIEL.

Announced yesterday, Miyavi will be streaming his sold out Day 1 “Premium Live” in Tokyo on July 21st. The event will take place on his official Youtube channel. The time the stream will be begin has yet to be released; further details to come.

Miyavi announced on his official Facebook page last Monday that he will be performing at the Rising Sun Rock Festival in Hokkaido, Japan this coming August. RSR is an annual outdoor aggregation of rock acts; this year, Miyavi graces the stage along with bands such as the Gazette, Asian Kung Fu Generation and Polysics.

Miyavi will perform on the 10th at the Earth Stage at 6:30 for an hour-long set.

“JAM Project,” a top anisong artist unit consisted of Kageyama Hironobu, Endoh Masaaki, Kitadani Hiroshi, Okui Masami and Fukuyama Yoshiki, is facing a brand new challenge. This super group will participate in a large-scale live tour “JAM Project Latin America LIVE TOUR 2012 ARIGATO TOMODACHI” to be held in 4 countries in South America.

This tour will cover Brazil, one of the locations covered in their 2008 world tour, and 3 new locations—Peru, Argentina and Chile. All of these countries are the furthest away from Japan, yet the team is preparing to perform their best with the full band as they would in their lives in Japan. Although Fukuyama Yoshiki will not be able to participate in this tour due to health conditions, this is the very first time in the anisong scene for a unit to hold such a large scale live tour with full band and equipments and only a few cases of such scale exist in the entire music industry history of Japan. For such reasons, they have been attracting much attention for this grand tour.

Japanese animes and specialized dramas have become popular over the years in major cities of South America. Sao Paulo in particular has been in a close friendship with Japan and many Japanese cultural events are held annually. As the members of JAM Project sang the theme songs for various animes and specialized dramas, this tour was put together to respond to the passion and support of the fans in South America. “JAM Project,” with the average age of 46 within the team, is still one of the top super units of the Japanese anisong scene. Angel Aki visited Hong Kong June 30th -July 1 as an initial promotion overseas since
her debut.

Her most successful single tune "Tegami〜Haikei Juhgono kimie〜” released in 2008 was covered by a Hong Kong singer Sherman Chung titled “A Letter to Myself (給自己的信)”
and became a smash-hit song. Accordingly, Angela Aki’s original album “ANSWER” which contained the above mentioned song ranked number one in Hong Kong Chart
and stayed on top 10 in 55 consecutive weeks.

Fans in Hong Kong have long waited for Angela to come over, and she was surrounded by many fans and medias when she arrived at the airport.
During the mini-live at PopCorn Mall on June 30th-, she performed 3 songs including
“Tegami〜Haikei Juhgono kimie〜” at Popcorn Mall on June 30th and the venue was filled with deafening cries of joy from the audiences.
Her schedule was fully packed with as many as 50 media interviews in 2 days short stay over there.
She commented eagerly “I want to keep trying much harder as a working mother.　I think that’s what every mothers are doing!” .

Her new single ‘Kokuhaku’ which has a tie-in to the smash-hit animation “Uchu-kyodai” will be her first release after her maternity leave.
Also the release of her new original album ‘BLUE’ has been announced. For both front covers, Angela is wearing a skirt for her first time, which appealed to fans that she approached with new visual image.
